My dear friends,
any system, any structure,
be it material, politic or religious ,
first it brings hope, happiness and stability.
Then comes confusion, and for sure at the end of the road corruption . It is just a matter of time.
Spiritual truth ,
as long as kept on a personal connection ;
a 1 to 1 connexion, not a 1 to a 1000 ; cannot be corrupted !

Yeah ! That’s the point, a 1 to 1, personnal connexion.
No, you are wrong Rinpoche – look at Sherabling, manifested from the Tai Situpa’s vision… yes there is individual confusion and suffering there, of course, or else it would be dewachen and not dzambuling, but the potential for full enlightenment has been planted there for people to use or ignore as they wish. It is not the systems or structures, but the individuals that screw up.

I walked down the mountain because I could not tolerate so much of the same of what you too have had to face.
ou exemplify the true meaning of Lama: Spiritual friend.
As you embody that meaning, you share the truth of Dharma with so many. And so many of us need to be reminded that no one should be set on a pedestal. From Hollywood to Kathmandu… We are all just people looking for spiritual friends. And to put the weight of spiritual growth on to anyone but ourselves is selfish and lazy.

@Tsult81 Rinpoche is right. There are no systems or structures without inviduals, and individuals, as you admit, screw up. The Buddha said that the Buddhist religion itself would decline and disappear in time; any system is the same. His point that “a 1 to 1 connection, not a 1 to 1000 connection, cannot be corrupted” is right.
My insight on this: If a person looks inward, seeing his heart, even if he is facing 1000 different people, it would be a 1 to 1 relationship to him. If
a person seeks outward, not seeing his heart, even if he is facing the same ONE buddha or bodhisattva’s 1000 manifestations, it would be a 1 to 1000 relationship to him.

Your body is young – your heart is so close to the primordial bliss
I remember (like Mikyo – YES !)
I even used to think there was no path, no vision to project

and a heartbreaking fall afterward – until you were *reborn*
It is still true, as Tilopa says *with an object do not be concerned*
and *don’t think react hesitate, act meditate but be at rest*
In my lifetime I could always only try to help one person at a time,
but once I went to party I didn’t feel like going to, and my old friend
wearing my dead brother’s shoes, said *We need a guru* – he
didn’t know what he was saying really, *I urged him to be patient*
Even though he had some nasty things to say, he just said *I know*
I think we were maybe 24 (in bone years) then – I’m glad you’re impatient
but remember Vajradhara doesn’t see hard and easy the way we do
It’s not easy to tell who will be a heart-mind leader and heart-brother,
but it is possible to touch great generous mind, retrain the dark elf heart

Is the “Middle” relative or absolute ?
