The world is OK

Nothing is wrong here – the world is okay – its our vision of it that’s off sometimes.

That why we say that it is all in our mind.

Most important is not to make decisions when you’re unhappy or depressed;

remember, the whole world is your mind !

Dear Kalu Rinpoche, please include my mother Elfie Pertramer in your prayers. She died this morning in Munich, Germany at the age of 87, quite peacefully after much suffering. She was a student of the previous Kalu Rinpoche who me loved very, very much. She was one of the first people to take refuge with him when he came to Munich in 1977. She listened to all his teachings and traveled to Sweden to a big empowerment. Later she spent many months every year in a cabin at the Temple of the Thousand Buddhas in France near Autun, which was Kalu R. place. I was there with her too for a while. I had a recording Kalu Rinoche made of Phowa, and I sent it to her. Perhaps they can make her listen to it while she is in the Bardo. We are lighting candles for her at KTD and a butterlamp. I hope she will have an easy path through the bardo and find a happy rebirth in a good place. Thank you. dorothea

Thank you for the reminder. Lately, the world seems a little sad. There is plenty of sadness to find if I focus on sadness. I must be reminded sometimes to stay on track and look for the beauty.

You always offer some of that beauty. Thank you.

a still mind is a flawless mirror off all phenomenon
thoughts ripple along the pools surface
but they are transient and illusory
this mirror has no bottom
yet light escapes from its depths
how can you forget the silent source of your being
when its beauty reflects your own?

The world is all right whoever I am, a cleaner or a musician, as long as I am happy being myself; and whatever I am a Buddhist, a Christian, an atheist, as long as I live as a Bodhisattva with love and compassion, wherever I happen to be.
