Our Own Face

Buddha is not out there, Buddha is inside ourself.

When we pray to the Buddha, we are looking to an example.

Buddha provides a mirror to see our qualities,
To see our mistakes,

To see our own face.

Mistakes : we are responsable for them, aren’t we ?
Are they the fruits of our ego and the germs of our humility ?

Not exactly the germs of our humility but rather the compost or manure !

Mistakes are an expression of compassion. We make actions because want to alleviate suffering, to make things better. But when we act without wisdom we can cause the opposite. Mistakes are fuel for wisdom if we don’t get hung up on guilt and can get in touch with the original compassion.

That is what the point of Dharma is for me. An opportunity to learn more about what is possible and who I am capable of being.
