Casual in Madrid – Video

Before leaving Madrid I stopped by the center and met with the members. It was very significant for me as it was the first time I was in a Dharma situation in casual dress. I was a bit nervous, but those I met with were very warm and understood the importance for me of being myself. I hope you enjoy this video.

My love to all of you…

With all due respect to His Holiness the Karmapa, I think Kalu Rinpoche beats him in the hotness stakes. However, I am yet to see the Karmapa decked out in casual clothing.

Jokes aside, I really appreciate what Rinpoche says here. What’s the true meaning of renouncing and becoming a monk? Not letting one’s mind be limited by ‘this’ and ‘that’.

Thanks Rinpoche. I truly hope you will come to Australia.

    hiya Kalu and team,

just my 50 cents. i tried to watch your video on my computer and your voice is so soft even i turn to the largest volume i may miss what you said. in the future, if you know that you are making a video, is it possible for you to have a mic with you? the one who can put on your clothes? for this one, is it technically possible to enhance the sound so that the conversation can be heard more clearly?

sorry if this request brought you any inconvenience and i’ll try to watch the video in other machine to see if it works better elsewhere.

    thanks for the excellent job!!!

    Kalu pls take care!

    rds,
    H

then something be seen from my eyes be unreal existence.
follow dharma buddist, the quality is emptiness, but the cause and effect appear with the timming.(自性空,因緣有)

It’s intresting when you stop searching you find…

I truly didn’t look for a teacher anymore, I simply met a virtual friend, whose realisation however has enreached me through space… which means ‘great teacher’. I could enter again eternity through this conection… somehow still rare on this planet…

Surely you have great task to take dear Kalu, you meant to shake the belief systems, old patterns…

refresh real presence… so have good luck and heart serene :)

You are very beautiful man, so regarding this aspect I also wish you great fullfilement in this life path. As there is possibility of this intimate sharing in love. Certainly you got this potential for being there.

It’s great pleasure for my dear soul to meet you, even only virtually… and doesn’t look eaither I will start to study again buddhist system, which I passed on the way… now looks I am left with the essence… But in this essence I could experience your realisation as well… And truly respect where you are, sending you warm heart waves for greatest fullfilments.

May you be always blessed, supported and loved on the way, till all will transcend.

I found inspiration in you, and this comes as a reflection I am sharing now in the open…

    With love and heart open

    Your friend :)

    Dear Rinpoche
I totally relate to you and your replies here
I used to be a monk under HE late Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche from 1991-1996 but found the politics and monastic routines a bit trivial… So I gave up my robes.
I were at your enthronement and have meet you several times when you were a kid And we used to play together when you first visited Copenhagen with your parents back In 94 or so

I think you can be a kind and loving dharma person monk or not It’s all in the mind and how you behave and relate to people

I would be extremely happy to hear from you :)

Lots of love and best wishes
